At MRI, nature doesn't just play
an inspirational role in our manufacturing process it
is our process. Each year, the relentless cycle of nature
collects, dissolves and then concentrates minerals and
trace minerals into the Great Salt Lake. The result
is the perfect balance and spectrum of minerals and
trace minerals you find only in
ConcenTrace®
and
OmniMin®.
Winter Snow
The story of our manufacturing process begins with the
first flakes of snow that dust the majestic Wasatch,
Sawtooth and Uintah mountains located in northern Utah.
On average, approximately 500 inches of snow falls on
the mountain ranges surrounding the Great Salt Lake
every year.
Spring Runoff
As winter fades, the waters of melting snow wash over
the pristine mountains, drawing minerals and trace minerals
from the rich soil. These elements are then transported
via various rivers and streams until they are deposited
into the Great Salt Lake. Since the lake does not have
an outlet, the minerals remain in the lake to be further
concentrated by the approaching summer season. MRI's
ponds, situated along the pristine northern end of the
lake, benefit from the winter snow and spring runoff
Summer Sun
Utah's scorching summer sun evaporates water off the
lake leaving behind the nature's process until the inland
sea water reaches the proper level and balance of mineral
concentration. Once harvested, both in-house and independent
laboratories further test MRI's products to ensure a
quality, standardised product.
Finest Ingredients
Concentrated minerals and trace minerals are the foundation
of our business. All our in house products contain our

The Guiding Philosophy of MRI:
Natural Source; Perfect Solution.
Do you get a charge from your vitamin and mineral supplement?
It seems so elementary yet this fundamental principle
that an individual should notice immediate benefits,
including improved energy and vitality, from the vitamin
and mineral supplement they consume is elusive for most
mineral and trace mineral products currently circulating
in the marketplace.
Consider the source of your vitamin and mineral supplement.
The secret behind the strength of MRI's products is
our source. Because MRI harvests its minerals directly
from nature, they contain the minerals and trace minerals
your body requires in a form easily assimilated by the
human body free from synthetically produced or harmful
chemicals. Nature has designed this Natural Source;
Perfect Solution.
Natural Source
Located in Northern Utah, the Great Salt Lake is the
largest body of concentrated "sea water" in the world.
The lake measures 75 miles long by 30 miles wide with
a surface area of 1,500 square miles. For millions of
years, the forces of nature have collaborated creating
an inland lake containing a mineral concentration six
to ten times that of ocean water. Due to this naturally
high concentration, MRI does not interrupt the life
cycle by using chemical constituents and processes to
hasten or alter the concentration process.

an inland lake containing a mineral concentration six

high concentration, MRI does not interrupt the life
cycle by using chemical constituents and processes to
hasten or alter the concentration process.
Previous studies have documented Great Salt Lake's ability
to self-clean and maintain a natural equilibrium. Organic
material is first purified by an extensive system of
wetlands leading into the lake. Any remaining organic
matter is cleaned by a simple, yet extremely effective
bio-system existing within the waters of the lake itself.
Heavy metals have been shown to precipitate out of the
lake water. In comparing levels of heavy metals in the
lake to the levels of those same elements in the average
total inflow to the lake, using approximated pre-industrial
inflow levels, it is obvious that "contemporaneous precipitation
of metals must be occurring."(2) The levels of certain
metals is actually lower in the lake water than in the
average of the stream flow going into the lake. Only
in a liquid form would the elements be free to interact
in this way.

Gwynn, Ph.D., University of Utah: 1980, "Heavy Metals
in the Great Salt Lake, Utah" pp. 195 -198, quote from
p.197.
". . . The total soluble concentrations of heavy metals
in the water are extremely low. The heavy metals in
the lake, along with clays, organic materials and carbonates,
are precipitating to the sediments and deep brines where
anaerobic conditions and sulfides formed by sulphate
reducing bacteria immobilize the metals. The lake thus
avoids accumulation of heavy metals in the lake waters
and is non-toxic and self-cleansing. The unique saline
condition of [the] Great Salt Lake determines the precipitation
and immobilisation of heavy metals in the lake."3
MRI routinely conducts tests during every major harvest
period. These tests look for impurities and contaminants
including: organic and petroleum chemicals, agricultural
chemicals and pesticides, bacteria and heavy metals.
These tests have shown a complete lack of impurities.
In addition, MRI conducts tests to identify heavy metals
using Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved
tests. These tests have shown the four metals of primary
concern to be well below the following levels in all
samples tested.
Processing
MRI harvests its unique brand of minerals from the isolated
and pristine northern shores of the Great Salt Lake.
This location presents several advantages. The remote
and pristine nature of the area, far from any pollution
sources is an ideal setting for high purity nutritional
production. Cut off by the Promontory Mountains on the
east and the Union Pacific Railroad fill on the south,
the north arm of the lake is many miles from any significant
source of pollution. The higher concentration of brine
in the north arm is also, obviously, another advantage
to production. Since the minerals harvested here are
used for nutritional purposes, the emphasis is placed
on quality rather than quantity.
The minerals are carefully monitored and managed year
round to maximise the content of magnesium and trace
elements and provide the overall balance best suited
for the human body. The harvesting are carefully maintained
in a food grade fashion, similar to an agricultural
operation. In addition, care is taken to avoid chemical
contamination, much like an organic farm.
Perfect Solution
Minerals are the catalysts for the biochemical processes
your body relies on daily just to function.
MRI's liquid minerals create the perfect to today's
health needs. Each of our three mineral products,
ConcenTrace®,
OmniMin® and
Inland Sea® Water contain
nutritionally significant levels of a number of major
nutritional elements in addition to its trace mineral
content.
MRI's top-selling product and main ingredient in each
of its products is
ConcenTrace®, a concentrated
product containing 250 milligrams (mg) of magnesium
per 2.5ml, which is 80% of the ECRDA. Sodium and Potassium
are each less than 10mg and Lithium ranges between 1.4
-2.5mg and Boron between 1 - 2 mg.
Both are nutritionally significant, but no ECRDA's have
been set. Sulphate ranges between 30-100 mg., and chloride
between 575-800. In addition,
ConcenTrace® is
also available in stable dry forms using other inert
materials.
MRI's second product,
OmniMin®, is a slightly
less concentrated product with a magnesium level of
200 mg. per 2.5ml. and sodium and potassium levels between
20-35 mg.
MRI's third product,
Inland Sea® Water, contains
approximately 112% of the RDA of Magnesium in a form
highly usable by the human body.
Over the years, MRI has conducted numerous broad-spectrum
analyses of its most concentrated product,
ConcenTrace®.
Following is a summary of data from more than 12 labs
in three countries. These testing labs include private
labs, government labs, government certified labs, university
labs and MRI's own in-house lab.
MRI has compiled the following list of elements, in
approximate descending order, based on the best available
data. Every element that has actually been found on
any test is listed below. (Elements listed on an analysis
as "less than," "<," or similarly, were not counted,
unless at least one lab clearly indicated that they
actually detected the element.*>

*These analyses also include the six Noble Gasses, which
have never been tested for, but are present in sea water
and are presumed present in the Great Salt Lake, plus,
of course, hydrogen and oxygen as H2O and presumably
also as dissolved gasses. = 70 elements have actually
been detected with the strong presumption of 78 total
and possibly more. Theoretically, all naturally-occurring,
soluble elements would be expected to be present once
sufficient technology exists to detect them.
