The Main Purpose or Function
of This Product:
To supplement the diet with a premium blend
of zinc balanced with a trace amount of copper. Zinc
is essential for the maintenance of vision, taste

hormone and prostate function. Zinc is important for
normal skin function as well. Complete Zinc contains
a holistic blend of zinc combined with complementary
mineral, trace mineral, vitamin and herbal enhancers
to ensure the highest assimilation, safety, function
and balance of zinc.
Ideally Suited for:
Because zinc is so tied to overall health, this product
could be an excellent addition for persons who: have
impaired immune function, are advanced in age (studies
show that zinc deficiency is common is the elderly),
consume a strict vegetarian diet, are exposed to pollution
and/or cigarette smoke, men or women who are concerned
about bone density (i.e. osteoporosis) and men concerned
about prostate health. Zinc levels also decline following
stress and physical injury. Therefore, individuals
under a great deal of physical and psychological stress
may benefit from supplementation with Complete Zinc.

Tips for Better Living
Zinc has only been officially recognised since 1974
as essential and given an RDA. However, research has
found that there are more than 90 enzymes in the body
that depend on this important mineral. Some of the
therapeutic applications supported by research includes:
impaired immune function, eating disorders such as
anorexia and/or bulimia, obesity, inflammation of
the gums, Herpes infections (both herpes simplex and
genital herpes), infertility and osteoporosis.1

Main Ingredients:

|
Zinc: Zinc is an essential
mineral needed by the body to make protein.
Enzymes that contain and depend on zinc help
connect the long chains of amino acids that
compose each protein molecule. According to
Alexander Schauss, Ph.D., zinc is intricately
involved in the function of the central nervous
system and brain. Nearly every enzyme reaction
in the brain involves zinc.2 Impairments of
taste, vision, smell and appetite are often
the early signs of a zinc deficiency. Zinc is
necessary for the action of hormones such as
thymic hormones, insulin, sex hormones and growth
hormones. Zinc deficiency may be reflected by
an increased susceptibility to infection, a
change in the appearance of the skin, hair loss,
poor wound healing, decreased sense of smell
or a decreased ability to see at night.
|
| |
|

|
Copper: Zinc competes
with copper for absorption. It also is a co-factor
in the enzyme reaction involving the cross-linking
of collagen that form stable fibrils upon which
calcium is deposited to form bone. 3 According
to researchers at the USDA's Grand Forks Human
Nutrition Research Center, copper deficiency
decreases the activity of lysil oxidase and
impairs this cross-linking of collagen in animal
studies. According to the USDA's research supplementation
of both zinc and copper have been found to help
conserve bone density or prevent spinal bone
loss in postmenopausal women.

| |
|

|
Vitamin B-6: This
vitamin is multi functional. It is involved
in a number of important functions in the body.
It is a co-factor in at least 50 enzyme that
perform a number of biochemical tasks for the
proper functioning of the nervous system and
musculoskeletal systems.
|
| |
|
|
Betaine HCL: This vitamin
enhances digestion thereby assisting in the absorption
and assimilation of the nutrients in this product.
|
| |
|

|
Alfalfa: A versatile
herb, it is known to be helpful with arthritic
and rheumatic pain and it is also a natural
diuretic. Alfalfa is one of the richest land
grown source of trace minerals; rich in calcium,
and well balanced with magnesium, phosphorus,
and silicon.
|
| |
|

|
Gentian Root: Within
the Complete Zinc formula, gentian root is used
to stimulate the production of hydrochloric
acid thereby assisting in the absorption and
assimilation of the nutrients in this product.
|
| |
|

|
Siberian Ginseng: This herb
is used to strengthen the heart and nervous system
as well as stimulate general mental and physical
functioning as well. According to Nutrition Almanac,
Chinese researchers noted ginseng lowered high
blood sugar levels and that Russian researchers
noted it normalized arterial pressure, which affects
blood pressure.4 |
