COMPLETE MAGNESIUM
|
| |
|
|
| |
Magnesium is an essential nutrient required for many
biological functions within the body. More than 300
enzyme reactions, strong bones, a healthy vascular
system and brain function all depend upon the presence
of adequate levels of magnesium. One of the richest
sources of magnesium, MRI's Complete Magnesium supplies
100 percent of the U.S. Recommended Daily Allowance
in only three tablets.
Available Sizes: 90 tablets.
The Main Purpose or Function
of This Product:
Magnesium is essential in the activation
of numerous enzymes that control the metabolism of
carbohydrates, fats and electrolytes, that assist
in the utilization of other minerals such as calcium,
maintain resistance to infection and protect against
cardiovascular, kidney and bone disease. Complete
Magnesium contains magnesium derived from four sources
and herbs such as green kamut grass, spirulina and
grapefruit for ultimate balance and absorption.
Ideally Suited for:
Magnesium intakes have fallen slightly over the twentieth
century, according to Mildred Seelig, M.D., Master
of the American College of Nutrition and MRI's consultant.
According to Seelig, persons consuming a high dietary
ratio of calcium, phosphate and vitamin D, high levels
of fat, protein, sugar and/or alcohol need additional
magnesium. In addition, people exposed to physical
or emotional stress or who have a risk of cardiovascular
disease or other heart-related problems may need additional
amounts of magnesium.1
Suggested Use:

|
3 tablets daily, divided
with meals, or 1 tablet with each meal.
|
| |
|

|
For complete supplementation
of other essential minerals and vitamins, Complete
Magnesium is an excellent companion to our Electro-Vita-Min,
Within, or Arth-X products.

Tips for Better Living
The majority of Americans are magnesium deficient,
according to a Gallup Organization survey. Gallup
polled 500 American adults and found that nearly 72
percent fall short of the RDA for magnesium. In addition,
the survey also revealed that 55 percent consume three-quarters
or less of the RDA while 30 percent are eating less
than half the required amount. For women, the RDA
for magnesium is 280 mg/day and for men, the RDA is
350 mg/day.2
A separate Gallup poll of 500 diabetic American adults
found that 83 percent with diabetes do not get enough
magnesium. Sixty-eight percent of men and 56 percent
of non-pregnant women said they consume three-quarters
or less of this mineral. Further, 99 percent of these
diabetic Americans (of whom 53 percent had a history
of heart disease and/or consuming diuretics (which
can further deplete magnesium levels) said they had
not been advised by a health care professional of
a magnesium deficiency. A magnesium deficiency in
diabetics can lead to an increased risk of arryhthmias
and other heart-related problems, altered glucose
metabolism and high blood pressure. 1

MRI utilises four sources of magnesium
for ultimate balance and absorption. The majority
of the magnesium, magnesium chloride, comes from
ConcenTrace®, which is an all-natural source and
is ionic for immediate absorption and assimilation,
and does not pose the threat of toxicity. |
| |
|

|
Chloride, an electrolyte that is
also a component of stomach acid (hydrochloric
acid or HCL). |
| |
|

|
Micronutrients such as copper, boron,
strontium and manganese that work closely with
magnesium in a number of physiological functions
in the body and increase the absorption and utilization
of the other minerals in this product. |
| |
|

|
Important co-factors including green
kamut grass, grapefruit concentrate and spirulina
that increase the absorption and utilization of
the minerals in this product. |

Assurance that one is receiving
an adequate intake of magnesium, which is essential
element for overall health and disease prevention.
|
| |
|

|
A equalizing effect on the metabolism;
can act as an antacid in small amounts. |
| |
|
 |
Increased effectiveness of calcium
within the body. |
| |

or to an amount he or she feels comfortable with.
Main Ingredients:

|
Magnesium: Magnesium
is necessary for energy production and protein
formation. Magnesium is involved in over 300
enzymatic reactions in the body. Almost half
of the total magnesium in the body is found
in the soft tissue and the other half is found
in the bone. 2 Magnesium affects the muscle
tone of blood vessels which may explain its
pronounced positive effect in treating cardiac
arrhythmias, other heart-related conditions.
Studies conducted in England, Finland, Canada
and the U.S. show that persons who live in areas
with magnesium rich "hard" water have lower
rates of cardiovascular disease and sudden-death
heart attacks than those persons who live in
areas with magnesium-poor "soft"water 1,3. In
addition, recent studies also associate a magnesium
deficiency with pre-eclampsia and hypertension
in pregnant women, renal and intestinal disorders,
diabetes, lung function, asthma and insulin
resistance disease or Syndrome X. 1,4 Complete
Magnesium derives the majority of its magnesium
from ConcenTrace®.

|
Chloride: Another
key ingredient of this product, chloride is
also a component of stomach acid (hydrochloric
acid). Stomach acid secretion is slowed in older
people, according to Robert Russell, M.D., associate
professor medicine at Tufts University and associate
director at the USDA Human Nutrition Research
Center on Aging. This lack of stomach acid secretion
can change the acid content of the bowel as
well where food is broken down and most nutrients
such as iron, calcium and folate are absorbed.
3 Chloride maintains acid-base balance and water
balance. It and other electrolytes, maintain
acid-base balance, water balance, help maintain
nerve transmission and normal muscle activity
(contraction and relaxation). It also works
with potassium, calcium and sodium, to form
the salty, electricity-conduction solution that
permeates the cells in our body.3 It is involved
in hormonal and enzyme actions and DNA production.
|
| |
|

|
Potassium: This mineral
performs several roles within the body. First,
potassium is involved in muscle contraction.
A deficiency of this mineral impairs the muscles'
ability to use glycogen, a sugar that is the
muscles' main source of energy. 3 Potassium
has also been shown to be important in high
blood pressure, atherosclerosis and stroke.
Micronutrients such as copper, boron, strontium
and manganese found in ConcenTrace® that work
closely with magnesium in a number of physiological
functions in the body and increase the absorption
and utilization of the other minerals in this
product.
|
| |
|
|
Green kamut grass: A grain
rich in minerals and trace minerals. Green kamut
aids in the assimilation of the other minerals
and nutrients in this product. |
| |
|

|
Spirulina: A green
food that is rich in minerals and trace minerals
and is a natural source of beta carotene and
other vitamins.
|
| |
|

|
Grapefruit Concentrate:
Grapefruit assists with calcium and magnesium
absorption and assimilation.
