COMPLETE CALCIUM
and MAGNESIUM |
| |
|
|
| |
Although calcium receives abundant attention for
its role in strengthening bones, it also works closely
with magnesium in a number of important physiological
functions such as regulating the heartbeat and assisting
in muscle contraction and nerve transmission. MRI
offers its Complete Calcium and Magnesium supplement
in either a 2:1 ratio or a 1:1 ratio. Based on a four
tablet serving size, the 1:1 ratio provides 500 mg
of calcium and 500 mg of magnesium. The 2:1 formula
provides 1000 mg of calcium and 500 mg of magnesium.
Both formulas provide calcium sourced from citrate,
malate and a specially precipitated form of calcium
carbonate to ensure maximum absorption and assimilation.
Both products also contain a special blend of nutritional
enhancers including herbs and food factors to improve
the absorption of calcium and increase the overall
effectiveness of the product. Available Sizes: 60
and 120 tablets.
The Main Purpose or Function
of This Product:
Complete Calcium and Magnesium is a dietary
supplement that contains a unique blend of calcium
citrate, malate and specially precipitated calcium
carbonate selected for maximum absorption. In addition
to the magnesium, this product contains vitamin and
herbal enhancers including vitamins C & D, boron,
potassium, grapefruit and horsetail to increase the
overall effectiveness of these vegetarian supplements.
Ideally Suited for:
Both men and women should supplement their diet with
calcium, however, certain population groups (please
refer to Complete Calcium page for more about these
at-risk groups) need to ensure they meet the Recommended
Daily Allowance (RDA) for calcium. Some of these groups
include strict vegetarians who do not consume dairy
products and/or women with a familial history of osteoporosis.1
Suggested Use:

|
The suggested use is 4 tablets daily,
divided with meals. Calcium works best when it
is consumed with a meal and before bedtime. |
| |
|

|
For complete nutrition, customers
may want to take at least 3 tablets per day in
conjunction with either of MRI's two daily multiples
Electro-Vita-Min and WithIn. |
Tips for Better Living
According to Mildred Seelig, M.D., Master of the American
College of Nutrition and MRI's consultant2,
Determination of intracellar magnesium [Mg] and calcium
[Ca] levels has provided important insights into the
interrelationships of several diseases usually considered
quite separate. It has been discovered that resistance
to the effects of insulin, previously thought to be
a problem only in diabetes, is also found in patients
with other metabolic disturbances involving abnormal
Mg and Ca in their tissues. Among these disorders
are hypertension (with and without heart disease or
diabetes), obesity (with and without diabetes), pregnancy
complicated by high blood pressure and abnormal processes
associated with aging.
Features

|
A blend of calcium citrate, malate
and carbonate for ultimate absorption and assimilation.
Calcium is necessary for building and repairing
bones, nerve transmission, muscle growth and contraction
and prevention of muscle cramps. |
| |
|

|
Both Cal/Mag formulas provide more
than 100 percent of the RDA. Magnesium enhances
the absorption of calcium and also assists in
nerve transmission, muscle contraction and enzymatic
activities involving energy production. |
| |
|

|
Vitamin D, a fat-soluble vitamin,
required for the absorption and utilization of
calcium. It is necessary for the normal growth
and development of bones in children and adults
and can aid in the prevention of osteoporosis.
|
| |
|

|
Additional micronutrients found
in ConcenTrace® that provide additional nutritional
support and aid in the absorption and assimilation
of the nutrients in both products. |
| |
|
|

|
Both products contain nutritional
factors that enhance the absorption and activity
of calcium and magnesium specific to each ratio.
The 1:1 formula contains alfalfa leaf, horsetail,
green kamut, watercress, strawberry leaf and grapefruit
concentrate. The 2:1 formula contains alfalfa
leaf, horsetail and grapefruit concentrate. |
| |
|
|

|
This product is all-natural and
contains no added sugar and starches. In addition,
both are free from yeast, dairy, wheat, gluten,
artificial colours, flavours and preservatives.
Both products are vegetarian. The tablets are
coated with a natural, gelatin-free coating. |
| |
|

|
Does not contain dicalcium phosphate.
Some research indicates that dicalcium phosphate
can bind with some minerals and nutrients in the
digestive tract, thus making them unassimilable.
|
Benefits or Results:

|
One benefit of this product is the
supplementation of adequate amounts of calcium
in your diet that meet the RDA. |
| |
|
 |
Some individuals report decreased
occurrence of leg muscle cramps. |
Storage Conditions:
Keep in a cool, dry place. Keep bottle tightly closed
at all times. Leave desiccant in the bottle. Tablets
may tend to crack if exposed to moisture.
Shelf Life:
A two-year shelf life is suggested as a general guideline
for both Cal/Mag products. Shelf life regulations
vary from country to country. Please check with the
appropriate government agency for the exact shelf-life-guidelines.
Side Effects:
May cause a laxative effect. If this occurs, decrease
the dose.
Main Ingredients:

|
Vitamin D: This vitamin is
absolutely important in the absorption of calcium.
Vitamin D is converted in the liver to 25-hydroxyvitamin
D, a prohormone, which, in turn, is then converted
to 1,25 vitamin D or calciferol. This hormone
is what transports calcium from the gastrointestinal
tract directly to the bones.1 |
| |
|

|
Naturally-occurring, ionic micronutrients
including boron, zinc, copper, boron and manganese
found in ConcenTrace®. |
| |
|

|
Alfalfa: A versatile herb,
it is known to be helpful with arthritic and rheumatic
pain and it is also a natural diuretic. Alfalfa
is one of the richest land grown source of trace
minerals; rich in calcium, and well balanced with
magnesium, phosphorus, and silicon. |
| |
|
| |
Grapefruit Concentrate: Grapefruit
assists with calcium and magnesium absorption.
|
| |
|

|
Horsetail (Shavergrass):
This herb is utilised in this product as it is
involved in the absorption of calcium. It is also
important for the health and maintenance of collagen,
a connective tissue that maintains the elasticity
and strength of our joints and skin. |
